F.A.Q's
Frequently asked questions.
-
1. Will it hurt my paint?Today’s modern technology has enabled the premier vinyl companies like 3M and Avery and others to fabricate vinyl with new adhesives that can be removable and doesn't cause any damage to the paint. In fact, it actually protects the paint, so when it does come time to be removed, the paint has its original gloss and lustre it had when the wrap was installed.
-
2. Can you wrap an unpainted vehicle?Yes.
-
3. How long will it last?Great question: Because of today’s technology, there are different types of vinyl. Some are made for short term use, while others are for long term use. That being said, a long term wrap can last up to 5-7 years depending on how the owner protects the wrap and how well it’s kept clean.
-
4. How long does the installation take?Typically 2-4 days depending on the vehicle and the installation type.
-
5. Is it easy to remove?Yes. If the correct wrap vinyl was used. Let me explain. There are short term vinyls, there are long term vinyls, and there are permanent vinyls and removable vinyls. Add to that, each vinyl comes with a recommended install and removal time periods for each vinyl. So if a 3M vinyl has a removal time period of 5 years, then the wrap is designed to be removed easily up to that time period of 5 years. What happens after the 5 year period? Well, the wrap starts to become permanent and the vinyls become increasingly harder to remove. Can they be removed, yes. But at a larger expense. It’s usually inexpensive to remove it before the 5 years.
-
6. Is there a cost to remove it?Yes. Usually depending on the vehicle, the price can range from $300.00 to almost $600.00
-
7. How much do they cost?Great question: There are several factors to consider: here are a few: Types of vinyl, how long do you want it to last, will it be permanent or removable, when would it be removed, what type of vehicle would the wrap be going on... These are all key factors into the cost of the vinyl. But for an example: lets say we’re going to wrap a standard ford van. The cost could vary between $2200.00 thru $2800.00.
-
8. What if my wrap gets damaged? We can replace any part of the wrap at a minimal cost.
-
9. How do I care for my wrap?Mild Soap and water. No polishes no waxes.
-
10. Can I pressure wash my wrap?No.
-
11. Can I go thru a car wash with my wrap?Yes, if it’s the type that don’t rub up against it.
